1. Owners or handlers of both exhibition and competition dogs must complete registration/waiver forms and sign to acknowledge they were provided the rules of the competition before they are allowed to pull. Exhibition dogs will pull with the competition dogs but not entitled to titles or prizes.
2. All dogs must weigh in before the pull.
3. Must pull 16 (sixteen) feet in 60 (sixty) seconds to complete a full pull and avoid a foul.
4. No human or dog aggressive dogs.
5. No bitches in heat.
6. Only 1 handler allowed in the pulling area.
7. No leashes attached to the dog will be allowed while pulling. The least must be thrown to the end of the track to allow you to leash your dog after it completes the round.
8. No touching of the dog once your 60 seconds begins unless instructed to by the judge.
9. No baiting of any kind. Includes but not limited to food, treats, toys, balls, whips, sleeves, other animals, etc.
10. If the dog is entangled in its harness, the judge will stop the time, readjust or have the dog readjusted by the handler then allow the dog to pull its remaining time.
11. Dogs will be eliminated from competition after incurring 3 fouls. The following are considered fouls:
* Unable to complete the full pull of 16 feet in 60 seconds
* Any contact with the dog not authorized by the judge after the time has started
* Baiting
* If the judge feels the dog may be in danger of injury.
* If dog eliminates (urinate or defecate) during its pull.
12. It is the sole decision of the judge to determine the starting weight and all weight increases.
13. After each round, the judge will show the handler his time of pull or foul.
14. Handling your dog in any aggressive manner will result in disqualification from the competition and/or future events.
15. Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification from competition and/or future events.
16. Be a good sport, you lose, no cry!
17. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL!!!
